Flourshop never disappoints! A regular neighborhood spot. Great service, ambiance, food, and drinks all around
A 10/10 dining experience in Charlotte. There wasn't a dish I wouldn't order and I'd go back to do it all over again
Birthday dinner here was FANTASTIC! The burrata was amazing and so was their focaccia bread. The dish that won me over - spinach & potato gnocchi, just WOW!!!! I'll be back for that alone, so good. Everything is made in house, with a wonderful open kitchen and cute dining area. This is a great date night spot for sure. My 4 stars instead of 5 stars on Yelp was due to the annoying somewhat large party that was sat behind us with kids, not necessarily the restaurant's fault but I would have loved to have been seated on the other quieter side of the restaurant. I honestly didn't even want to stay for dessert at that point and was ready to leave. So I guess my only recommendation would be for seating to be considered a little more by the hosts up front (some folks are just wanting to spend a nice evening dinner out without the sound of chaos in the background).
Loud BUT good! A friend and I went for dinner, it was rather crowded, so we sat at the bar in order to get seated right away. The bartender immediately got us drinks. The food took a little longer than we desired to get to us but was totally worth the wait. Everything was fresh and delightful, extremely flavorful, and we loved being able to see the fit being cooked in front of us!
Another Italian/pasta restaurant in Charlotte. Being in park road shopping center, parking is easy. Servers are friendly. Great for casual hangouts. Burrata with pesto was the most impressive one. We were offered extra bread including brioche. Squid ink with shrimp was great as well. Lamb ravioli, as dish off the menu, was okay - flavorful but portion was moderate. As for dessert, we were recommended the bourbon brown sugar ice cream. I preferred the vanilla ice cream more but my friend loved the bourbon one.
New favorite staple in Charlotte! Recently dined here and did the full dinner experience (drinks, apps, entrees, desserts) and not one thing disappointed. The atmosphere was fantastic with the open kitchen/bar set up. We also had a variety of staff members visit our table, from our server to trainees and the bar manager.. each person friendly, professional, and willing to give recommendations which is a MUST for me. Favorites of each category: Apps - bacon wrapped dates, croquettes, and the bread service (don't even bother going if you aren't going to treat yourself to their homemade focaccia bread ) Entrees - we went solely pasta and got the pesto/broccoli gnocchi which was so fresh and such a fun spin to typical gnocchi dishes. Also got the cavatelli short rib (perfectly tender and saucy) and the traditional paparadelle Bolognese... yum. Dessert - strawberry cream puffs that were so light, it was the perfect way to finish a heavy meal. Drinks were fantastic - I recommend starting with a fun cocktail and then pairing dinner with wine!
Finally got to try flourshop last week with a big group. It was easy to make a reservation for 10 and they had us at a long table at the front. The service was just ok, as our server took a while to come back and check on us / take our orders. However, the food and overall vibe of the place was amazing! The wine and cocktail list is great too. They only have a couple beers though- would be nice for more options. I highly recommend the gnocchi and the steak- both were absolutely delicious! The salads and appetizers were all tasty too- you can't go wrong with any of the food! I can't want to come back asap and sit at bar as you can actually watch them making the pastas right in front of you which is a cool experience!
